Bronze, Silver & Gold Duke of Edinburgh Expeditions

Reach Outdoors are an Approved Activity Provider (AAP) of the Duke of Edinburgh Award and we've been delivering training, practice and qualifying expeditions across all levels of the award for the best part of a decade.

Located on the South Devon coast, we have access to some of the most breath-taking stretches of South West Coast Path, whilst being only a short distance from the rugged beauty of Dartmoor National Park.

Our team of highly skilled and qualified instructors are able to plan, deliver and support all aspects of the expedition process, ensuring that all participants have a memorable and life-changing experience.

Our packages for school and youth groups are listed below for Bronze, Silver and Gold Walking Expeditions. We also offer Kayaking Expeditions which are available on request.

PACKAGES

Bronze Walking Expedition

Price: £1100 + VAT per group (4-7 participants per group)

Minimum of 2 groups required

Silver Walking Expedition

Price: £2000+ VAT per group (4-7 participants per group)

Minimum of 2 groups required

Gold Walking Expedition

Price: £416.66+ VAT per individual 

Minimum of 12 participants required

Depending on time of year training can be in a bunkhouse or camping. This cost is additional to the per head cost.

 

Gold Kayaking Expedition packages are available on request.

Quality Instruction

What's Included:

  • Support and guidance from one of our highly qualified and experienced instructors.
  • Training in navigation, route planning, camp craft, first aid and emergency procedures.
  • School-based training - participants will learn all the essential skills required to undertake their expedition.
  • Dartmoor based training day - a day spent on the hills putting all their new skills into practice.
  • Qualifying Expedition (2 day for Bronze, 3 day for Silver, 4 day for Gold)
  • Practice Expedition for Silver & Gold only (2 day for Silver, 2 day for Gold)
  • All group resources and equipment for training and expedition days (tents, stoves, sleeping mats, maps, safety equipment).*
  • Campsite fees
  • Transport Included

*Personal Equipment to be provided by the individuals: sleeping bags, waterproofs, backpack and walking boots.
