Whether you are new to kayaking, hoping to develop your skills further or just looking to spend some time on the water discovering a stunning section of the South Devon coastline, then our Coastal Kayak Adventures and Safaris are for you.

Taking place in the heart of The English Riviera UNESCO Global Geopark, our Kayak Adventures are suitable for all abilities, from age 8 upwards and are mostly undertaken in accessible sit-on-top kayaks.

We offer a number of kayak-based adventures; from introductory sessions, guided journeys, to bespoke coaching and overnight expeditions.

Coastal Kayak Adventure

Join us for a memorable 2-hour Introductory Kayak Adventure set in the heart of The English Rivera. One of our friendly guides will introduce you to the basics of kayaking and support you as you develop your new skills and build confidence whilst enjoying a relaxing paddle within the sheltered waters of Torbay.

You will be provided with safety instructions and kayaking tips, ensuring a relaxed and enjoyable experience on the water.

This adventure offers the perfect introduction to kayaking on the sea and is ideal for beginners, young children and families. No prior experience is needed - just bring your sense of adventure!

Half-day Coastal Kayak Adventure

Embark on a scenic and thrilling half-day coastal kayak adventure along South Devon's stunning coastline. Lead by an experienced guide, you'll improve your kayaking skills and develop new techniques. Enabling you to feel safe and empowered as you enjoy journeying along, discovering hidden coves and visiting idyllic secluded beaches.

Prior experience required. Whether you're looking to advance your paddling skills or simply connect with nature and learn more about the local area, this unforgettable experience offers the perfect mix of adventure and tranquillity.

Coastal Kayak Safari *NEW for 2025*

Join us for a captivating half-day Kayak Safari within the stunning English Riviera UNESCO Global Geopark.

Our experienced guides will take you on an awe-inspiring kayak journey through which you will travel across almost 400 million years of history, geology, marine life and coastal ecosystems.

As part of this immersive kayaking experience you will journey along areas recognised as Sites of Special Scientific Interest, above important Seagrass meadows and learn what makes up this unique marine environment!

Private Coaching Sessions

1.5 hour private session for up to two people. Suitable for beginners or those looking for personal paddling development skills. As it is a private session, we are able to tailor it to your requests.

Prices: £96 per session (total price for 1 or 2 participants)

Sessions are not bookable online and are arranged upon request, subject to availability.

Personal Paddling & Leadership Awards

We offer a number of personal paddling development courses and are a British Canoeing Delivery Partner, meaning we can offer some British Canoeing Personal Performance and Leadership Awards:

- 1-Day Intro to Closed Cockpit Kayaking - a one-day course introducing using spraydecks, safety and rescue techniques and paddling effectively in a closed cockpit kayak. Follow this link to find out more information.

FAQs

How do I book?

To book your Kayaking Adventure with us, go to our bookings calendar.

Our Kayaking season takes place between April and October each year.

If you would like a private session, then give us a call or email - We offer these sessions all year round!

Can under 18's take part without a parent/guardian?

For our Kayak Adventures and Safaris, participants under 12 need to be accompanied by a parent/guardian to participate . Ages 12 and over can participate without a accompanying adult , but the parent/guardian does need to stay nearby. All under 18's require a parent/guardian to sign our Acknowledgement of Risk (AOR) form. A copy of the AOR form is linked below and we provide a copy on the day of activity.

Age restrictions for other sessions are detailed individually on the session type.

Do I need to be a strong swimmer to take part?

For all of our sessions water confidence is required but strong swimming is not. We provide buoyancy aids which must be worn throughout the session. They help keep you afloat when in the water.

Do the kayaks have a weight limit?

Our kayaks have a weight limit of 140 kg but can become very unstable with more than 120 kg paddlers.
