Learn to Climb & Refresher Lessons
Learn to Climb Lessons for Beginners:
Our 2-Part Learn to Climb lessons happen once a month, for adults and teens wanting to learn the basic climbing and belaying skills (the art of safely controlling your partner's rope). The small group lessons are run by a qualified instructor. The lesson run alongside our 'Open Climbing Club' to give participants an idea of how they can access climbing walls following the lessons.
Climbing is a social sport and a great place to meet others. It is an all-body work out set at your own pace, and helps to improve flexibility and strength. Great for the mind, as you problem solve your way up those tricky routes. Best of all, climbing gives us the opportunity to switch off and climb on!

Price for 2 x 1.5 hour lessons
Individual Climber: £45 | Pair Discount: £80
Ages 13-17 welcome when accompanied by paying adult | under 18s must have signed parental consent to attend
“We recommend 2 x 1.5 hour lessons on consecutive weeks for beginners to learn the basics of climbing. However, due to individual learning speeds, these two lessons do not guarantee being signed off as a "competent belayer" for open climbing sessions at climbing walls. Supplementary sessions can be provided if required.”

Sessions include plenty of climbing time, games and team activities, helping young climbers develop trust, resilience and independence in a fun environment.
