5 Day, 4 Night - Gold Duke of Edinburgh Residential
Based in the heart of South Devon you will Coasteer, Climb, Kayak, Cave and Scramble your way through an adventurous week you will remember forever.
An action-packed 5 day, 4 night residential, with a number of outdoor activities throughout the week, while staying in a bunkhouse in a nearby village. Activities available include coasteering, kayaking, paddleboarding, bushcraft, archery, caving, ridge and gorge walk on Dartmoor, climbing and many more!
Upon arrival, you will plan your week with your fellow adventurers, shopping and cooking in teams to share meals at our awesome bunkhouse, before chilling out around the fire pit in the evenings and sharing stories.
These could be the first steps into a career in the outdoors or just a fun-packed week of adventure. Either way you’ll have fun in the process, meet new people and experience the best that South Devon has to offer, while completing the residential section of your DofE.
We offer a pick up/drop off from Paignton Station on the first and last days of the residential, or you can meet us on site if you'd prefer to make your own way to us.
Arrival is at 12 noon on the first day and departure at 3pm on the final day.

What's Included?
Prices are all inclusive - all you need to do is turn up!
• Course cost includes all technical activity equipment (including wetsuits, buoyancy aids, helmets, harnesses etc)
• Highly experienced and qualified instruction
• Pick up from the local train station (Paignton at 12:00hrs) and drop off to the same train station (3pm on the Friday) or meet us on site for 12pm
• Transport to and from activities during the week
• Accommodation in a comfortable bunkhouse in a prime location
• All menus and meals are included (but prepared by the group)

Bunkhouse Accommodation
Our sole use bunkhouse provides a fantastic base from which to explore South Devon and all that it has to offer. Ideally situated in the Cockington Valley, Torquay the bunkhouse provides great access to both the coastline for water activities or Dartmoor for land based activities. The bunkhouse is well equipped for self catering and also benefits from ample social space both inside and outside with a private courtyard a firepit area to see the evenings out.
Rooms are dormitories (1 x Male, 1 x Female) with seperate Male and Female toilet and shower facilities for participants.
Car parking is available at the bunkhouse (although you may need to pay and display on the final day depending on the activity location).

FAQs
Can I book with a friend?
- You can attend with one person you know but you will need to check with your DofE Leader if 3 or more people will be attending the same residential who already know each other. A key part of the residential is meeting new people. Many people do attend as individuals.
Can I arrive late or be picked up early?
- We are not able to authorise late drop off or early pick-ups due to the requirements from the DofE for the residential.
How will I get signed off for the residential section of Gold DofE?
- At the end of the week, our team will submit an Assessor's report online on eDofE, which then appears in your eDofE profile within 72 hours.
What are the assessor details for the residential?
- You will receive the Assessor's details in your confirmation email when you book. If you require them before booking, please email our team on info@reach-outdoors.com and we can send them to you.
