Youth Climbing Club - Participant Code of Conduct
1. I understand that I am to follow and respect the instructions of the Reach Outdoors staff in order to keep myself and others safe.
2. I am attending the course of my own choosing and understand that if I do not wish to participate in the planned activity, I can sit the activity out but must not distract instructing staff or fellow participants as a matter of safety.
3. I will only attend the club if in a fit state to do so. If I lose focus to the point it is a risk to themselves or others, I will be asked to sit out of the session until fit to participate again.
4. I am able to understand the general rules of being in the climbing wall environment and agree to follow them. This includes treating the safety equipment with care and responsibility when in use.
5. I understand that I should speak to an instructor if I feel emotionally uncomfortable or panicked at any point throughout the lesson, whether this is due to the activity or other participants. I understand that some may find different aspects of the activity physically and emotionally challenging, and therefore will be encouraged by the Reach Outdoors staff to be supportive of others in the group.
It is imperative to yours and others safety that you abide by this code of conduct. Failure to do so may lead to you being asked to leave the club. This is at the discretion of the Instructing staff and Directors of Reach Outdoors. No refund will be given if you are asked to leave on the grounds of bullying or unsafe behaviour.
Any questions regarding this code of conduct should be sent to info@reach-outdoors.com or please speak to the instructor at the start of the session.
