British Canoeing Paddle Explore Award

The Paddle Explore Award is designed to give you confidence to be more independent when paddling in a sheltered water environment. You can complete the award across canoe, kayak and paddleboard or you can stick to a single craft if you prefer. You will learn how to make decisions based on weather and water conditions, what equipment you'll need, safety and rescue and more. 

We offer a 2-day course for participants to complete the Paddle Explore Award. Participants must be aged 16 or over for our open courses. If you are aged under 16 and are interested, please get in touch on the details below.

The cost is £150 per person for a 2-day course. This price includes the British Canoeing Certification fee and all specialist equipment required for the two days.

In order to receive the certificate, certain assessment criteria must be met. Your instructor will discuss with you areas of future development and progression at the end of the course.
