Danny came on board the Reach Outdoors team early 2017 as an activity instructor. Today he is a Lead Instructor and manages products like the NCS at Seale Hayne that runs all summer. Danny also heads up the Wave Project (https://www.waveproject.co.uk/) a charity that uses the ocean to empower and improve confidence in young people.

Danny’s role as a Lead Instructor this season saw him embrace the increased reasonability and run with projects to a huge success. His NCS product at Seale Hayne (http://www.discoverhannahs.org/our-venue) worked with 100s of young people over the summer who took on the challenge of 8 different activities on multi-day programs.

Before Danny put on the teal of Reach Outdoors he has previously work for PGL, completed an instructor training program at Land and Wave in Dorset and worked for other outdoor companies in Dubai and Wales. He has also gained a Sports and Physical Education degree at the University of Bedfordshire.

In his free time Danny likes to get outside as much as he can, exploring the coast on his sea kayak or packing a bag and heading to the hills. He is also a keen paddle boarder and this season saw him completing the British paddle sport stand up qualification. Danny has also completed his climbing instructor award and is in the process of gaining British Canoeing Level 2.

Danny brings energy and passion to every activity he runs, with a relaxed and re-assuring presence on sessions Danny can motivate and encourage each group member so they even surprise themselves to what they are able to achieve. It’s this approach to the outdoors that has made him a key member to the team and why he was a perfect fit for the products he ran.

Danny helps lead the Reach Team in work and social settings while always setting a great example for all the instructors, he passes on guidance and advice to the junior members of the team and is a great addition to the Reach Team that hopefully will only continue.
