The new teal team apprentices for 2019!
07 March 2019 by Richard Hanbury
Welcome to the team Sam, Cam, Bas and Chloe! These four have joined the teal team for the 2019 season and to start an exciting journey into the outdoor industry. They will be with us for at least the next 12 months to learn new skills, gain qualifications and put all the new-found knowledge into practice assisting our current instructing team.
Over the coming months, the four new apprentices (in conjunction with South Devon College) will be learning everything from theory-based knowledge such as customer care to the more practical skills needed for climbing instructor, coasteering and paddle sports, along-side many other in-house qualifications.
The apprentices will be assisting with all the activities that are run throughout the year and will be integral with the large NCS residentials that will be taking place this summer.
Sam 31: I’m looking forward to leading groups in the outdoors and being active. Favourite activity is Coasteering.
Cam 18: I’m really looking forward to a calm day in the bay that I get to go and paddle on. Favourite activity is Coasteering.
Bas 29: Leading activities and being reasonable for a group. Favourite activity is anything water based.
Chloe 17: I’m looking forward to trying out new things. Favourite activity is Stand up paddle boarding.
The mix of skills and backgrounds that the apprentices bring to the table have already made them welcome members of the team. With their wide skill set and ages, we wish them the best of luck for this season and for the career they have ahead of them.
