Seasonal Part time Receptionist and Administrator position with Reach Outdoors Ltd.

Reach Outdoors are looking for an enthusiastic customer focused person to join our highly professional, fun and dedicated Team. Based at Goodrington South Sands in Paignton, this role will see you working directly with our clients and improving our visitors experience. A combination of sales, customer service, administration, and probably the odd adventure, this is a varied role in what we think is one of the best offices in Torbay!!

Job Description

Post: Seasonal Part time Receptionist and Administrator

Period: 4th May – 4th Oct   2020

Hours:  24 hours per week, could be flexible depending on suitability of candidate.

Pay: £8.80 - £10 p/h based on experience and qualifications.

Position description:

Overseeing the day to day dealings of a busy outdoor centre, this is a varied role that requires a broad skill set. Welcoming existing customers, engaging with drop in enquires, responding to email enquiries, answering the phone, processing bookings and invoices, these are some of the things that you will be doing day to day. You will also have number of additional roles that will be more specific to an Outdoor Adventure business. Assisting with setting up kit for the day, sharing client images from sessions, uploading engaging Social Media content and generally getting Stuck in around the centre. You also will see the benefits of working in this sector, being able to use our kit and craft to have loads of fun off the Beach, when you’ve got some time off.

Qualifications and experience required

The successful candidate will have experience in customer services and administration, they will be competent using Microsoft office programmes and be fairly tech savvy! Some knowledge of Outdoor Activities is desirable but not essential. The successful candidate will be a strong communicator, well presented and be able to think and act independently and quickly in a busy environment.

Main Responsibilities

  • Be present at the Reach Outdoors reception working area, during core times and be able to welcome visitors to the centre.
  • Answer incoming telephone enquiries, respond if able to or correctly signpost the call to the main office.
  • Answer any stored phone or email enquiries and respond appropriately and process new bookings as they come in.
  • Send and process invoices, receipts and other financial documents using our Xero accountancy system.
  • Handle Booking and consent forms and store and distribute information in line with Reach Outdoors’ Privacy Policy.
  • Upload content and publish through Reach Outdoors’ Social Media Platforms
  • Support the Directors and Centre Manager in general administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the business.
  • Maintain Reach Outdoors Premises and vehicles to a high standard.

General Responsibilities

  • Promote Reach Outdoors in a positive light and be an advocate for positive outdoor engagement to encourage and support fun and development in the outdoors.
  • Be involved in the monitoring and recording of soft and hard outcomes as required by the Reach Outdoors Directors.
  • Follow Reach Outdoors’ Operational procedures at all times.
  • Be current with the Reach Outdoors Activity Cloud and other CMS
  • Drive company vehicles if suitably qualified.

Working hours

The core hours of this post will be 08:30 – 16:30. This could be flexible to suit the right candidates’ other commitments. Day’s of the week could also be flexible
