TAX-FREE childcare with Reach Outdoors
20 March 2020 by Richard Hanbury
As we are now Ofsted Registered we can run kid clubs during the school holidays!!
- What is Ofsted?
Ofsted is the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills. They inspect and regulate services that care for children including childminders, registered nannies, nurseries, pre-schools, schools and FE colleges in England.
- What does that mean?
Being Ofsted registered means we can now offer tax-free childcare.
- What is tax-free childcare?
In a nutshell, Tax-Free Childcare is there to support working parents with the cost of childcare. For every £8 a parent pays into their childcare account, the government adds an extra £2, up to a maximum of £2,000 per child per year (or £4,000 for a disabled child).
Parents with a child born on or after 1 April 2013 can now apply, and all eligible parents will be able to apply for Tax-Free Childcare by the end of the year.
Parents with more than one eligible child only need to sign up once – at the point, their youngest child becomes eligible – and can apply for all of their other children under 12 at the same time.
